Inspired by the frontline healthcare workers during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2020, I designed two sets of footwear to help ensure these life savers are comfortable on their feet during long periods of time and long shifts during the days they worked at medical facilities through out the pandemic. The first shoe uses an auto-lacing enclosure for the lacing system, whereas the second shoe utilizes a pull-and-release lacing enclosure—lacing enclosures designed for an easier entry into the shoe rather then a standard lacing enclosure. The midsole is a decoupled midsole with flex grooves and nubs for superb durability and grip. Please view the entire detailed tech packs for more information on this footwear collection.
Introducing the Dream Walkers, a gender neutral colored and fit pair of walking shoes, exclusively designed for kids. The Dream Walkers use a knitted upper, carbon fiber chassis support, cotton sockliner, screen mesh mudguard overlays, elastic lacing enclosure, dual density foam midsole, and it's topped off with a herringbone nubbed rubber outsole. Designed and rendered by product designer Nick Montesano in Adobe Creative Suite.
The Hyper Jet is a simple yet streamlined looking low-top basketball shoe I designed in May 2020. It features an ETPU midsole partially caged by a clear rubber for stability, a knitted fabric upper with overlying screen mesh for support and durability, as well as a wired lacing system, midfoot arch spport, and a carbon fiber heel counter for lockdown and a tight fit.
With a struggling brand like Reebok at the time in mid 2020, I decided to design a low top trainer shoe for them which designed a dual layered midsole, leather lockdown wings, standard lacing enclosure, woven uppers, and dual layered outsole for superb performance. Eventually, Reebok was acquired two years later in early 2022.
